FAQs
Peach Fuzz Laser Studio’s mission is to provide affordable and exceptional laser hair removal and skin services. Excessive hair growth can have a damaging effect on one’s self-esteem, particularly to young women.
We want to provide safe and effective laser treatments to individuals of color
During laser hair removal, a laser emits a light that is absorbed by the pigment (melanin) in the hair. The light energy is converted to heat, which damages the tube-shaped sacs within the skin (hair follicles) that produce hairs. This damage inhibits or delays future hair growth.
Hair growth can lessen in a few weeks. Permanent results require a series of treatments. These treatments should be spaced 4-6 weeks apart for optimal results. A package of at least 6 is highly recommended. Your hair will become finer over time and in certain areas may not grow back at all. This all depends on hormones and genetics. Everyone is different.
We prefer the Candela brand of lasers which uses a dynamic cooling system. This system blasts cool air with each pulse of the laser allowing for a comfortable treatment.
A warm rubber band snap is what many say laser hair removal feels like. Less painful than waxing for sure. We take your comfort seriously
For a day or two afterward, the treated area of your skin will look and feel like it's sunburned. Cool compresses and aloe vera will help. If your face was treated, you can wear makeup the next day unless your skin is blistering. swelling, scarring, and blistering are very rare side effects. Wear sunscreen for the following month to help prevent temporary changes in the color of the treated skin. Most hair begins
If you are planning on undergoing laser hair removal, you should not tweeze, pluck, wax, or have electrolysis for 4-6 weeks before treatment. We ask this because the laser targets the hairs' roots, which are temporarily removed by waxing or plucking. Avoid sun exposure for six weeks before and after treatment. For example laying out at the beach, not general everyday exposure.
Each pulse of the laser takes a fraction of a second and can treat many hairs at the same time. The laser can treat an area approximately the size of a quarter every second. Small areas such as the upper lip can be treated in 30 minutes, and large areas, such as the back or legs, may take up to an hour.
It is recommended to conduct treatments in 4-6 week intervals. These intervals align with the human hair growth cycle.
