At PeachFuzz Laser, Juneteenth of every year is a day we mark with purpose. We don’t just celebrate the date, we embody it. Yes, it’s a celebration of liberation, but for us, it’s also a celebration of confidence, community, inclusive beauty, and the power of melanated beauty. This year, our second annual social woven into the Juneteenth weekend reminded us of what we do and why we do it. It wasn’t an ordinary get-together, it was a statement. It embodied a reflection of the PeachFuzz Community in full bloom.

Why This Event Mattered

As you might already know, Juneteenth is all about liberation and freedom. For the PeachFuzz Laser community, it also means liberation from excess unwanted hair. It’s freedom from skincare systems that relegate black and brown skin to the background. It’s also freedom from feeling invisible in wellness spaces. That’s why our Juneteenth Brooklyn networking event wasn’t a party or pampering for us. It was a joyful declaration of “We see you! And we’re building beauty that sees you too”.

From Silky Skin to Soca Beats—We Did That.

Our 2nd Annual Summer Social was a whole vibe. Set on Juneteenth, we brought our PeachFuzz community together to celebrate smooth skin, community wins, and five years of showing up for Black and Brown women in beauty.

With tropical cocktails in hand sponsored by D’ussé and the sounds of the Caribbean filling the air thanks to DJs GabSoul and NikiAnticss, our Peaches linked, laughed, and learned why laser is the ultimate act of self-care—especially for melanated skin.

Skincare, Sound, and Sisterhood

Special shout out to our FuzzClinic Pop-up where our guests got to see and check out our aftercare products, interact with our estheticians, and ask real questions about safe skincare, especially for melanated skin. Conversations ranged from ingrown hair solutions to post-laser aftercare tips – all done with trust and shared experience.

Alongside all that came the connections, laughter echoed across the room with an atmosphere of relaxation as shoulders dropped. There was real talk in every corner of the room. In a few hours, the lounge was transformed into a sanctuary.

These words reminded us that we aren’t just here to remove hair, we’re here to restore confidence, foster inclusive beauty, create affirming spaces for all, and build a strong community where everyone feels seen. Reaffirming the PeachFuzz Promise

We started this journey to build a community that fosters inclusive beauty. A system with special attention to the people of color, with liberation from their relegation when it comes to laser care. For us at PeachFuzz, this liberation means freedom from harmful skincare norms and treatments that ignore brown skin. Juneteenth reminds us that true beauty is rooted in safe, science-backed care and emotionally affirming spaces. This event reaffirms our promise: to be by everyone’s side—celebrating, educating, and healing together.
